Prayer Prompts of Thanksgiving
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17).

Whether we are celebrating the holiday season of Thanksgiving, or just want to spend some time focusing on the many blessings for which we can thank God, I've made a list of prayer prompts to inspire and help get you started:

For creating us and giving us the breath of life

Salvation through Jesus

Our faith ("I was blind, but now I see!")

His grace to help in our weakness

His Word
-
The Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us

The privilege of prayer and being able to talk directly with God

His peace that passes all understanding

His joy that can fill our hearts in any circumstances
-
The honor of being asked to partner with Him in sharing the Gospel
-
The spiritual gifts He has given us (to bless others and build the church)

Family (both earthly and our church family)

Friends
-
Health

Church

Home

Job/Career

Food

Clothing

This list is just a beginning and not all-inclusive by any means. My hope is that it sparks some ideas of your own for which to pray and praise God!

But, perhaps you read this list and thought to yourself that you don't have some of these things, or feel lacking in some area listed above. If that is so, please know that our Heavenly Father sees you and knows your needs. He promises to give us everything we need to accomplish all that He has created us to do:
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Keep seeking Him!

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33)
